These include:

Double-edged carpet trims – with grips on either side of the design, double-edged trims are the perfect option for joining carpet-to-carpet across thresholds and doorways.

Single-edged threshold strips – these have grips on just one side and, as such, are typically used to join the threshold between a carpeted room and an area of vinyl or lino flooring. 

Z-section door strips – ideal for joining carpet to tiles, wood or laminate.

Carpet strips – designed to cover a 30mm gap, these join carpet-to-carpet and create a seamless finish from one area to the next. Extra-wide strips are available (designed to cover a 61mm gap) and, to make installation easier, we also currently stock a self-adhesive option.

All of the door strips above come in two lengths:

1. 9 meters (i.e. the size of a standard UK doorway)
2. 7 meters (suitable for oversized doorways and entrances).

We have a variety of exclusive modern colours for you to choose from, including black, grey, silver brushed aluminium, brushed grey and chrome. Therefore, whatever your colour scheme – and whatever the shade of your new flooring – there’s bound to be something in our collection to match.

Do I need to buy threshold strips?

Yes – if you wish to get the most out of your new flooring, door threshold strips and carpet trims are highly recommended. First and foremost, they complete the look, creating a seamless transition from one room (or area) to the next and ensuring a professional finish.

• reduce the likelihood of lumps and bumps
• provide extra protection against damage
• improve safety by reducing trip hazards
• cover unsightly frays and cuts along the joins
