Plushwalk®

Plushwalk® is one of the most recent additions to Wilsons’ line-up, but it’s already made its mark on the industry.

Made from ‘bounce back’ memory foam, it’s a luxurious carpet underlay with an in-built damp-proof membrane. And as such, it provides astonishing levels of underfoot softness and comfort, and helps to prevent moisture and dampness.

Various thicknesses are available. But for most projects, we recommend Plushwalk® 12mm Underlay at £6.99 per m². This has an impressive 3.5 TOG, can reduce noise by 49dB and significantly improves the look and feel of your carpet.

 

 

ThermalStream®

ThermalStream® underlay is a revolutionary product, designed specifically for use with underfloor heating.

Thanks to its unique ‘punched hole’ design and clever tech, it promotes the transfer of heat between the underfloor heating system and the carpet above. What’s more, at 10mm, it’s much thicker than other similar products currently on the market – therefore, improving comfort, without sacrificing heat or reducing the efficiency of the heating system.

Available from just £8.50 per m², it’s a clear winner for both domestic and commercial underfloor heating projects.

 

 

MultiRich Wool Carpet Underlay

Wilsons also offer a fantastic range of wool carpet underlays.

Richly packed with wool fibres, these provide outstanding levels of heat insulation – making them a great choice if you wish to keep a room warm or want to reduce your energy bills.

Made from 100% recycled materials, they also have impressive eco-credentials. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. And once they reach the end of their lifespan, the underlay can simply be recycled again.

Depending on the size chosen, Wilsons MultiRich is priced at £2.53 - £3.67 per m² and it’s another product that we regularly advocate – particularly for customers who wish to reduce their impact on the planet.

 

 

Royale^TM

Introduced in 2020, this is one of the most recent underlays to be added to Royale’s collection – yet it’s already regarded as the best.

Made using the brand’s new and innovative manufacturing techniques, Royale 7mm Sonic Gold Underlay has a unique foam structure – known as AeroFoam – and ticks all the right boxes in terms of thickness, insulation, damp resistance etc.

Available for the affordable price of £6.95 per m², it makes a huge difference to the overall look and feel of new flooring – without breaking the bank in the process – and is our go-to product for most wood and laminate projects.

 

 

Royale^TM LVT Underlay

Created for use with luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), Royale^TM LVT underlay demonstrates an excellent level of quality and notably improves the final results of the flooring.

Made from toughened foam with a silver-foil backing, it acts as a great shock absorber – helping to extend the lifespan of the LVT. And it boasts a range of useful features, including fantastic noise reduction, improved thermal insulation, and damp resistance. 

Priced at £3.60 per m², we believe it’s the best of its kind and frequently recommend it to our customers.
